Can the 101 act as a Central and scan BLE advertisements from peripherals?

All the examples I've looked at so far shows how the 101 can advertise its own UUID as a peripheral. But so far I have not seen any where it acts a Central and scans for advertisements from other peripheral devices and connect to any of them.

Is this even possible with the 101? Do anybody have an example how to do this?

Not yet. Theoretically possible, so I guess sooner or later someone will implement it.

Thanks for the answer. That is a pity. I was hoping to use it to do automated testing of a Ble peripheral.
