Hi,
Two months into learning about the esp32 and have been facing issues with relays and power. Most of the stuff spoken in the forums flys right over my head and at 54 I don't think I want to dive into that.
My question here is that is it possible to control a wifi power socket using the esp32. This is for my terrace hydroponic system. Would like the wifi controlled power socket to be turned on if the temperature goes above the threshold and turned off when below. I can connect my fans and Misting system to the power sockets and avoid using relays and wires etc.
Not much about this topic is available here and any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

Not sure which one you are referring to.
It seems there is always a problem with getting protocols. -
You can use an ESP32 to operate a relay.
This ESP can host a WIFI accessible HTML page that can be accessed from a browser.
I guess I used the wrong terminology..... A Smart plug or a WiFi Socket.
Buy a commercial WiFi enabled smart socket that says "Pre-Flashed with Tasmota".
It can be controlled from an ESP32, however if you have no technical knowledge then you will find this to be a difficult project.
No problem if you have Shelly "smart plug".
