I want to increase the range of KY-022 receiver to be able to receive signal through doors if I solder Arial to the signal pin will that works, because I am already using a remote to communicate with the ky-022 but it does not receive signal when there is obstacle in the way, I will appreciate an advice, thanks.
This kind of IR (Infrared) is an emission at a frequency outside the visual spectrum, but it is a light.
If you can make a red light pass through the obstacles,
then yes, you will get the IR too cross.

If you want you can attach an antenna, will it help: Nope, there is no place to attach an aerial. It works in the infrared region (light) not the RF reagan (radio waves) which an antenna would help.

one more question can I replace the text message in the transmitter from char to hex integer which is the code for the remote control and same in the receiver, thanks.
In case I replace the ky-022 with the 433 mhz receiver module.
The transmitter and receiver do not care, it is how you tell them to interpret the data that counts. Computers understand ones and zeros only, the rest if for humans to understand what the computer already knows.
