Can you help me understand the CP2102? (UART TTL Serial Converter)

Hello,
Hope this is the right section... I've made a few projects with Attiny85's. I'd like to read their serial outputs (without tying up my one and only Arduino.) So I ordered a "CP2102 USB 2.0 to UART TTL 6PIN Module Serial Converter". Though I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it. Not so much how it functions, I know it requires modification, but how to go about it software-side. I want to use it on Windows btw.

I've gone through the random findings, tutorials, etc. For what I've found, they stop at "install drivers". And I must be missing something, but I need some type of terminal that didn't come with the driver package. I'd like to use the Arduino IDE, but where are the libraries, cores, etc. in order to upload a serial reading sketch? Is there general terminology or hardware/boards that I should use in the IDE? I must be so oblivious, if you could acknowledge I'm lost. lol.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated,

You just need the windows driver from the chip's site. Once those drivers are in place the arduino IDE will pick them up there is no need to do anything, just plug it in and select the new com port from the tools menu in the IDE.

Can't blame me for doubting it would be that simple.... lol Thanks Mike! I had them communicating within minutes of your response :].
