Hi guys,
I have a simple(ish) setup in mind, the end goal being a set of 6 stepper motors that can each independently be turned on and off and have their speed adjusted up and down by a dedicated rotary encoder. I have an Arduino Mega, a RAMPs 1.4 hat and an additional external driver board for the 6th one, DRV8825 drivers, as well as 6 standard NEMA 17s and 6 Keyes 040 rotary encoders.
I am pretty sure this is the right hardware, so I'd love to find someone who is confident enough with code to get a solid setup going, including stable levels of torque and smooth acceleration that won't burn out my drivers. I'd be happy to offer you something for your time.
Thanks a lot,
Jim, UK.
