In my loop I have something like: if (reading == idleVal) motorIdle(); and then that function is: void motorIdle(){ //turn off motor digitalWrite(motorUpPin, LOW); //motor is not going up digitalWrite(motorDownPin, LOW); //or down } ...it's going to be idle most of the time in real life…

Can you use digitalWrite too much?
