Can you use Pressfit Connectors on Arduino Boards?

Here are 2 links below describing what Pressfit connectors are. Has anyone used them on Arduinos? Is it possible? If so what size are needed? or if you think they wont work well, why do you think that? I am looking for simple options to work with Arduinos that don't involve soldering. Breakout boards or expansion boards are over kill for my needs.

For temporary connections, we use Dupont connectors. No idea how those would work.

Or just stick with wokwi.

can you be more specific when you say wokwi? I dont know what that is.

  • I’ve used those years back.
They still need to be soldered.

  • Time for you to learn to solder.

I don't trust press-in connectors unless the PCB was specifically fabricated to use them. The internal plating on holes might be too thin/weak to work effectively.

If I were to consider using these (and I might in the future) I would:

  1. look to see if there is a press in pin for the diameters in arduino boards.
  2. look at the pin mfg application notes regarding hole diameters, internal plating thicknesses etc.
