Can you use the same shield twice on arduino project

I was using the seeedstudio motor shield for my project and I decided I wanted to add more than two motors. Is it possible for me to get a shield extender and use two motor shields at once, or would I need to buy a different shield that supports more motors or use another arduino?

Usually on Arduino you cannot use two of the same shield, but that depends a lot on the shield maker, some of them allow you to use different pins for each shield.

If you provide a link to this one we may be able to tell.

There are motor driver boards available which aren’t shields but are connected via wires instead - this gives you total freedom to use whichever pins you want. Some of these also support three or more motors which could be handy in your case.

Thank you for the tip! That is just what I need! Do you have any suggestions?
