Canberra Australia Arduino Users?

Hi there - I've noticed one or two people mentioning they are from Australia, and I see there is a Sydney hackerspace .. But nothing locally here in Canberra.

I know most of the guys at the local Jaycars have mentioned they have arduino's as well...

Surely we must have numbers to start something if there isn't already ?? :slight_smile:

I live in Canberra and have recently bought one. Haven't done much with it yet but would be keen to join a hackerspace type group :slight_smile:

I'm also in Canberra, and I too have recently been introduced to Arduino. Its been a long search for a well priced microcontroller kit and I'm happy to finally have found it (with help).

A small group will be meeting to discuss the setup of a Canberra hackerspace.

The first Canberra Make, Hack, Void meetup will be at 6:30 at the Wig & Pen in Civic on Tuesday the 8th of December.The proposed agenda is:

  • Show and Tell - everyone must bring along 1 useful tool or a project they are working on and give a quick spiel
  • Locations - Where can we host a Hackerspace
  • Funding - How do meet the costs of the Hackerspace
  • Alliances - What other community groups can we ally with
