Meet the Canique Switch - a power efficient board with a latching relay. The whole board has an ultra low power consumption of only 35 nA in sleep mode.
It runs off 3V, draws 33mA while switching (for ~10ms), and can then be put into sleep mode. The relay retains its state in sleep mode.
