Cannot connect to Bluetooth: Keyes BT_BOARD v2.0 {SOLVED]

Hello,

I'm trying to work with a Keyes BT_BOARD V2.0.

Pairing successfull with OSx Mountain Lion without a passcode (pairing with 0000 or 1234 no succes).

Then trying to connect with Arduino IDE, or PuTTY or Screen, a passcode is needed, but I think no passcode is assigned. Accepting the connection without a passcode is not possible (grayed out), connecting with 0000 or 1234 closes the serial connection.

Is somebode able to help out?

I found part of the solution myself.

Trying to pair this bluetooth with a Windows 7 computer (virtual machine inside my iMac, with a separate BT dongle) worked. Now during pairing I can enter the passcode 1234 and pairing is successfull (LED stops blinking now). Connecting. I uploaded a simple sketch printing "Hello world" to the serial port (via BT) now gives a nice result in PuTTy.

So I need to rephrase my problem more specific.

I can't pair my Keyes BT_BOARD v2.0 with my iMac running Mountain Lion.

I don't know what a Keyes BT_BOARD v2.0 is, but you have probably never had a pairing with it. You might get some help here, check reply #9

I don't know why, but everything is working now.

After pairing to the USB BT dongle in the Windows 7 Virtual Machine, my BT_Board is now also pairing (with key 1234) with the onboard BT from Apple (even after closing down Windows 7, removing the USB BT dongle and closing down OSx).

I don't understand it, but it works. Perhaps there is a problem between this board and OSx/internal BT when you pair for the first time and this gets solved by successful pairing first with Windows/USB BT.
