Cannot connect to WiFi with NodeMCU v 1.0

hello all,

I am trying from almost 5h to connect the NodeMCU v 1.0 thru my WiFi network to Arduino cloud - but without success.

  • I was checking credentials bilion times - they are correct - i also uploaded sketch "WiFi Client" from "Examples" in Arduino IDE - this method works correctly - WiFi connection is visible - So WiFi network works correctly.

The problem is that yesterday everything works correct, today not.
All the time i got message in console:

then retrying connection in 500 ms, and another failed. this continues all the time

Also check "Device ID" - its correct.

Any suggestion what is going on?

Edit: NodeMCU is powered from USB port and nothing is connected

I solved problem by setup all devices/variables in the scope, topic can be closed.

Hi Eldiane, what do you mean by setup all devices/variables in the scope? I'm facing the same problem, which is very annoying

The problem was that Node MCU retrying connection all the time, as far i remember i just put delay after connection, but to be honest i am not quite experienced to explain it more deeply - you need to write you'r topic - maybe someone will explain it better.
