Cannot detect Arduino MKR100 Serial Port on MacBook Pro running Sierra 10.12.6

Hi there,

I have my Arduino MKR1000 plugged into my Mac USB port but I cannot see it in the Serial ports menu of the Arduino IDE. I can only see one bluetooth option.

Having browsed for some time, I see this problem is not uncommon but still cannot find a working solution.

Please help.

You have to remove the foam from the board. It is slightly conductive.
