Hello, I am trying to download this driver from sparkfun for my Arduino Nano from RexQualis. https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/how-to-install-ch340-drivers/all#mac-osx
What this website told me is to write in commands in terminal and to expect some output.
All of the steps worked and had the same output as mine until this step:
My output only had the same 2 other ports (which are /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port /dev/cu.-WirelessiAP) , not anything about " /dev/cu.wchusbserial"
I could not find the Arduino Nano's port even though it was already connected.
I tried this around 7 times from different downloads and twice from the same sparkfun download. yet the computer still cannot identify the chip. I also unblocked the driver download in Security and Privacy.
I am using MacOS 10.15.7 Catalina on my Macbook Pro Early-2013. I am using the USB cord that came with the Arduino Nano and the Arduino is connected to power.
I don't know if this will work, but I recently got some rexqualis nanos, and I use the ch340 driver from the link on the box: REXQualis_Nano_Instruction_&_CH340_Driver.zip - Google Drive
Try downloading and installing this, it worked for me, but the ide might not know which com port the nano is on.
I am not a macOS user, but my understanding has been that the WCH CH340 driver is pre-installed on macOS, so you don't need to install a driver on macOS.
I have even seen reports here of people having problems after they installed the driver supplied by WCH, which were only resolved after they removed it.
