Cannot edit blank sketch

Hi,

It's been a long time since I touched arduino. Today I open and try to edit a blank sketch, and strangely I cannot type anything. And the IDE stay gray instead of white as normal. And when I tried to comment a open sketch, errors out:

My PC is win7 64bit, and I have install the latest java. Any ideas?

Did you move the arduino.exe file to your desktop? If so, that will cause a bunch of errors like that. I created a shortcut to the arduino.exe file, and moved the shortcut to my desktop. Just checking...

I just open the .exe file in the unzip folder. It is weird cuz everything is OK before this time. :0

I think is some inherit permission issue, like when you download something and it is like "locked" and you copy it to another pc and some "keypad" overlays appear in the icons and you need to retake ownership, I am not sure :stuck_out_tongue:
