Cannot install megaTinyCore in new installation

UPDATE: I was able to install the espressif core. But still no megaTinyCore.

Yesterday i had successfully installed by adding "http://drazzy.com/package_drazzy.com_index.json" to the board preferences list.
I then was able to select megaTinyCore for install.

This morning some Arduino file must have been corrupted as on startup the IDE was complaining it cannot find a file which was moved out of the sketch folder last November.

So I performed a "clean" install. By clean I mean I removed all Arduino related files.
Including:

  • appData local and roam
  • user .arduinoIDE
  • all program director files.
  • etc.

Today, after a clean install I added the "http://drazzy.com/package_drazzy.com_index.json" to the preferences/additional boards manager.
No option to add megaTinyCore appeared in the boards list. Among other things I shutdown the computer and rebooted it. Opened the IDE, still no reference to megaTinyCore in the boards list.

Might I have missed a step?

John

Hello @JohnRob,

I believe that this article will answer your questions. I have never used megaTinyCore, so I may not be able to assist you directly.

Best,

Thank you for the thought, however I've already performed those steps with no luck.
