Cannot load compiled sketch on Arduino clone

Hello everyone,

I've just bought this Arduino Mega clone from banggood. When I try to upload a successfully compiled sketch I receive the following error:

Arduino: 1.8.9 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Sketch uses 444 bytes (1%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

I've read online that it could be a missing driver, hence I've downloaded and installed the CH340 driver from here, but it didn't work.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide,

Lorenzo

Zero response means that the target is not reachable for many reasons:

  • cable
  • incorrect port, selected
  • missing driver (I see you installed but anyway...)
  • problem with the board like missing FW, bootloader or the board is simply bad.
