Cannot Upload Code to nano

thanks! :smiley:

Yes, you got there in the end, but buying a clone, which you did, a new pseudo "Nano", does not mean a new bootloader.
If you had done a bit more digging around in the forum, you would have found the answer, because this is quite an old problem.
It also helps to explore the IDE thoroughly and open up those little sub-menus
I had exactly the same problem and stumbled on the Processor sub menu, and there it is, "old bootloader"
To my surprise, it worked.
So nothing ventured nothing gained.
You must feel satisfied to have got there in the end..

I bootload all my 328P chips as Uno when I use them, so I always have the best 328P bootloader on them.
One can get an inexpensive Programmer and quickly do the same.
$7.77 USD, free shipping in the US. Good tool to have.

Change this line in boards.txt
uno.build.variant=standard
to
uno.build.variant=eightanaloginputs

should make A6, A7 work on the Nano if one needs them for analog inputs.

Hmm, code for an Uno to Serial.print(analogRead(A6)); compiles ok with with either line.
