Cannot upload sketch on DUE

Using OSX 10.8.4 and IDE 1.5.2 I cannot upload a sketch to the DUE.

USB cable connected to the programmer port.
Arduino Due (Programming port selected)
In the serial menu I can only select Bluetooth ports, no serial ports (and I suppose this is the cause I cannot upload)

The compiler reports:

No device found on tty.usbmodem5d11

I did exactly as explained here http://arduino.cc/en/Guide/ArduinoDue#toc9 but I cannot select the correct serial port from the Tools > Serial Port menu.

Other Arduino boards (MEGA,UNO,....) do work with IDE1.5.2, as soon as connected, serial ports are added to the Serial Menu.

Any help would be appreciated

Many MicroUSB cables are power-only. Do you have another cable you can use?

I'm using the cabe that syncs my E-reader, it does data too.

Tried on 2 other Macs running OSX 10.6 and IDE 1.5.2, same problem, no serial ports available

I think this brand new DUE's USB ports are dead.
