Cannot upload to Wemos D-1 Mini Lite - Need assistance please

My sketch compiles and uploads on the D-1 Mini but not the Mini lite. Never seen this error message before: Arduino: 1.8.4 (Windows 7), Board:

This report would have more information with "Show verbose output during compilation" option enabled in File -> Preferences.

Could this possibly be a cable issue? It just loaded on the Mini V2(I think).

Pert; Yes, helpful. Have not been able to get it to work but I have a direction as to what I'm missing. Looks like I have to add some code to the boards.txt file. I did, still not working.

When I get some time. I will come back to this.

Thank you!

Glad to hear! Well if you run into any problems feel free to ask. I don't have any experience with the D1 Lite but I do know my way around a boards.txt file!

I watched this video by Andeas Spiess: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JslhaM5FHZI Says to download the boards.txt file and replace it from github file. I did and it still does not work.

I have looked at the link you suggested in the Wemos forumn and made a few posts myself there. Deleted the esp boards altogether, then reinstalled it. Then added:

to the boards.txt file. The Wemos D-1 Mini Lite shows up in the "boards" list, so I don't understand why this is not uploading my sketch to the board. Hoping you can shed some light on me. Thanks!

Often these "file exists" type errors are caused by your antivirus program. Try TEMPORARILY disabling the antivirus for a single compilation. If that solves the problem you will need to adjust the settings of your antivirus to whitelist the offending program/process/folder.
