Sometimes my Arduino Uno prompts me to update my libraries. Whenever I ignore these prompts, the program just bricks and prevents me from clicking on anything, where it produces a sound when I click. Also, it does that sometimes if I go with the updates.
The software acts normally after shutting Arduino IDE using task manager, but I don't wanna rely on that long term. Would be super grateful if someone has an answer to this

We only know you are on windows because you mentioned task manager but other than that we dont know too much about your system.
File -> Preferences -> remove the tick for "Check for updates on startup"
Up till now, I have never been prompted about any updates (after I removed the tick).
