Can't connect MKR WAN 1310 to Arduino Cloud

Hello, I have the problem that my MKR WAN 1310 does not connect to the Arduino Cloud. I downloaded Arduino Create, a gateway is about 2 meters away. At "Setup Device" the board is still found, but then comes the message:

**We could not find any Arduino device
Please try to:
Restart the Create Agent on the computer.
Reconnect the device to the computer with another USB cable and make sure the power LED lights up.
Reset your device
**

I have done all this several times and tried again about 20 times. I also have an account with TTN and the things stack, where the board is already connected. Maybe someone has a clue and can help me right away.
Thank you for your help.

Hi there.

I am having the exact same issue.

New to the Arduino world and just purchased my first devices. Got a MKR WAN 1310 with an Opla IOT carrier board.

Have set up my Lorawan indoor gateway on TTN and ready to go.

I am stuck in the same loop:

In Arduino IoT Cloud:

Add device.
Arduino MKR WAN 1310 found
An Arduino MKR WAN 1310 has been detected on port COM8 and ready to be configured.
Click Configure
Select RF region
Name Device
Make your device IoT–ready
Your undefined will now be registered to communicate with the Arduino IoT Cloud through an active Gateway nearby.

The process can take up to 2 minutes, please do not unplug the device.
uploading sketch....

And then boom:

We could not find any Arduino device. Please try to:

  • Restart the Create Agent on the computer.
  • Reconnect the device to the computer with another USB cable and make sure the power LED lights up.
  • Reset your device.

I have repeated the process 20+ times.
I have tried on both Windows and Mac computers and both stall at the same point. (both in google chrome).
I have tried 4 different USB cables.

Let me know if you find a fix?

Thanks for your answer. If i got a solution i will tell you, but it seems as if i can't find a solution. Have done many different setups and tryed many things, but it doesn't work...

I am having the same issue. I hope we find a solution or answer soon.

It somewhat worked this morning. What I mean by somewhat is that I received an email now and created a password on TTN through the email. It also almost finished configuring the device I had connected, but I got the following message making it look like the device was already registered, but the device still does not show as a device in Arduino cloud. Now what? I logged into TTN and can see the device was created and added there, but it does not show in my devices in Arduino cloud.

Having the same issue. So tedious! Strange thing, I have gotten this same device to register in the past. I wonder if it is somehow related to our location. My issue is in Amsterdam.

I'm in the US. After "bricking" one board I decided to try a second one and now it is back to not completing the configuration. Frustrating is an understatement!

I ended up changing my subscription to a 1.99$ a month one, closing duplicate browser windows, reinstalling the create agent, restarting my computer, updating the boards again through the IDE, turning the create agent on a few times, and then, somehow, everything started working again.

Not sure what did it, but there you are.

I will try updating the boards with IDE first. Do you have any idea how to delete a board from TTN? Because I have the one board that did register on TTN, but doesn't show on Arduino IOT and when I try to configure it again it says it is already registered.

I do have a business enterprise account. It says support is included with that plan, but Arduino is definitely not providing me with any support on this.....

I tried updating the boards and that still didn't help me.

I'm still stuck too. Am able to set the boards up in the online UI but not seeing any data come in, or have them show up on the TTI website. It might be me but it all feels a bit broken.

Have you tried downloading a fresh create agent?

I have uninstalled and re-installed the agent. I have also tried 3 different computers. I actually just got a 1300 to configure, but like the 1310 I bricked, I now bricked this one too. It register on TTN, but did not add or create the device in Arduino IOT. Does the board you successfully configured appear as a device added in on your Arduino cloud?

Yes it shows up as a device to attach to a thing. But I don't get messages passed to the cloud from the device over lorawan. Seeing some activity on the TTN but that's a bit of a rabbithole.

Not sure how experienced you are with arduino, but you do realize that pushing that little button on the board twice fast does a reset, which would allow you to program it from your IDE. Just in case that fixes your bricking problem.

Yes I know that. When I say it is bricked, I mean that it is register on TTN, but doesn't show up as a device on the Arduino IOT, so I am not able to use it as a device and if I try to configure it again I get the error message I posted above stating that the device is already registered on TTN. I logged into TTN and can see the 2 devices there, but can't delete them to start over with the configuration of the device on Arduino.
