Can't connect to the Yun through WiFi with the IDE anymore.

Greetings,

I'm sure this question has been asked numerous times before, but I didn't pay any attention to it; my Yun runs fine (everyhing boots fine, my WiFi is up and running and my application runs fine as well); but I can't program the AtMega processor anymore over WiFi; it does work when I hook the thing up with a USB cable, but I don't want that.

It also takes quite a while for the 'Tools' menu to show up; the 'port' entry either is disabled or it shows a single USB port, but no IP address is shown. Ideas anyone?

kind regards,

Jos

ps. I'm running version 1.6.1. of the IDE (the previous version 1.6.0 also failed all of a sudden, so I upgraded)

  1. Yun Bonjour service is working.
  2. Windows' UDP port 5353 is open.

Reinstall Java runtime as well as Arduino IDE.

Last solution re-installed windows

That was it: that stupid firewall was blocking those Bonjour services; b.t.w. that Bonjour monitor is a handy little feature. Thanks a ton; I hated to run back and forth and hooking up my Yun to USB continuously ;-)

kind regards,

Jos
