I was able to sinc before, but now i get a: "Serial port "com5" not found did you select the right one from tools> serial port menu?" error
problem is, the "serial port menu is light grey and cannot be opened.
when I plugged in I did get a windows error, device not found.
do I need to update a driver somewhere? I do have the RA software installed.

Info: My RA is up and running (has ran my tank for a month or so)
OS Windows 8.0 (not going to upgrade to 10)
I dont know of anyone with another unit that I can test
The USB cable is not a regular one so I cant swap it out either
I have an older RA+ that I picked up used
Oh yeah, and I am computer literate but near illiterate as far as programming, so please use small words and detailed instructions
Using Port : usb
Using Programmer : stk500v2
avrdude: usbdev_open(): did not find any USB device "usb"

You might get an answer if you tell us what you are trying to program, then we can take a guess as to how...
Would it be a UNO with USB?
You might want to tell the IDE what it is programming, that could help too.
