Can not edit new or existing files.
If I try to paste text into file I get the follow error:
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.InternalError: Text component read only
{left rest of the error out}
Seen another post but there was no followup.
Help.
Where is the sketch directory located?
Operating system?
History: have been using IDE for about 2 weeks. Everything worked fine.
Yesterday it stopped allowing me to create or edit files.
Operating system: Windows 7 Ultimate.
IDE directory "C:\Arduino"
Sketch directory: "Documents\Arduino"
Thx for the help.

Is that what is displayed in File / Preferences / Sketchbook location? Or is there an actual harddrive folder displayed?
Thx! Some how my preference option "Use External Editor" got checked!
Thx for pointing me to the right location...

Hmmm. That is a /terrible/ way to tell you that you have selected an external editor. This is a UI bug, AFAIAC.
