I have suggested to the Moderator to move your Question to its own Thread as this one is very old.
Make a simple pencil drawing showing how you have everything connected and post a photo of your drawing.
I presume you know that the Mega uses different pins for SPI communication - see the SPI library reference if you are unsure.
