DHT11 digital temperature and humidity sensor. Use one of the DHT libraries.
IME, the humidity readings from the DHT11's are wildly inaccurate, the DHT22's are better. Temperature is OK though.
im getting 58% humidity, it seems to work fine. thanks alot for helping me identify it.

Sound like you got lucky. Or I got unlucky. I've got three that have never read anything lower than 28% or higher than 31% humidity >.> On another forum, someone found a DHT that would read correctly at some temperatures, then above a certain temperature, suddenly started returning humidity values that were half what the actual humidity was.
have you verified it from another source? i did, hence i know it was legit.
but...di you have the post where it fluctuates adn at what temperatures?
