Can't install a second Mega 2560

I bought a 2nd Arduino Mega (got another already installed in the same computer).
I just connected it to the USB port and a Windows error message appeared saying the device wasn't installed properly.
In the device manager the board is recognized as "unknown" (Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43))
Tried to manually loaded the drivers from Arduino package (arduino-1.0.4\drivers) but doesn;t work either, it says "Windows has determined your software is up to date".
O.S. Is Windows 7 Service Pack 1.

What to do now?

Thanks in advance.

Rookie2:
it says "Windows has determined your software is up to date".

I think you are pointing to the first mega. Can you use the second one alone?

No, i just disconnected #1 and the problem persists.

So, 2 identical arduinos, 1 works and the other does not work. I guess the problem is in the arduino, no? Can you test it in another machine?

It's possible but I doubt it, I remember I also had a lot of problems installing the 1st one.
I'll try a different machine after work.

I managed to install it, thank you.
