Can't install UNO drivers on Win 10, tried a lot of things you'd suggest

Hello, I tried to install the drivers on my arduino UNO on Win 10 over two different USB cables on all Usb 3.0 ports on my computer (it only has usb 3.0 ports)

it shows up as an Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)

On attempting to update drivers the system will not recognize the Arduino/drivers folder

When I use "Have Disk" option I get the "The folder specified does not contain a compatable software for your device" error then suggesting there is a 32/64 bit problem

I tried to install the legacy drivers included, same issue

I tried disabling Driver Signing, no difference

it is a genuine Arduino Uno Rev3 board.

Will not in any way show a COM port in Device manager.

I would appreciate some help.
