Why can't I post Profile - flywire - Arduino Forum ?
Hi @flywire. Please provide a detailed description of the problem in a reply on this forum thread, including:
- What did you do?
- What were the results you expected from doing that thing?
- What were the results you observed that did not match your expectations?
Make sure to include the full and exact text of any error or warning messages you might have encountered.
By the way, I used the forum's post drafts feature on this post and it worked fine, so the feature is at least generally functional.
Reply to FDX-B 134.2 kHz RFID reader - #48 by red_car (fairly sure it was this one, Admin can check). When Reply is clicked nothing happens, post stays in Draft. As you say, normally forum posts a reply.
Thanks for the clarification.
I notice an error appears in the browser console when I click the post composer's "Reply" button with that draft:
composer.js:1100 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'closed')

However, I was able to publish a reply on that topic from a draft (using an account with normal forum privileges like yours), so this is not a universal problem but rather something that only occurs under unknown specific conditions.
I can suggest a workaround. Please try this:
- Click the following link to open the list of your post drafts:
Arduino Forum - Click the "🖉 Resume" button on the post draft.
The topic will open, with the post composer populated with the content of the draft. - Click on the post composer field.
- Press the Ctrl+A keyboard shortcut (Command+A for macOS users).
This will select all the text of the draft post. - Press the Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut (Command+C for macOS users).
This will copy the selected text to the clipboard. - Click the "Close" link at the bottom of the post composer.
The "What would you like to do with your post?" dialog will appear. - Click the "Discard" button in the dialog.
The dialog will close. - Click the reply button on the topic page.
- Press the Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut (Command+V for macOS users).
This will paste the copied text into the post composer. - Make any adjustments or additions to the post content as needed.
- Click the "Reply" button at the bottom of the post composer.
Hopefully your reply post will now be added. If not, let me know and I'll investigate further.
A glitch. Thank you.
You are welcome. I'm glad if I was able to be of assistance.
Regards, pert
