Hey i am new out here.Just got my Arduino.(clone) The driver were successfully getting installed automatically the first time and still wasn't able to select the port in the IDE. So i reinstalled the driver.still couldn't change port.Then i saw in device manger COM 1 occupied by another thing."H61 Express Chipset Family LPC Interface Controller - 1C5C".
Please suggest what to do???????????
The Arduino hardly ever shows up as COM1. Probably, you haven't loaded the driver for whichever USB chip is on your clone; the Arduino IDE doesn't contain drivers for all possible clones. Probably, you want a CH340G driver - that chip has become quite popular.
I tried installing the driver but it did not work also.Its automatically installing and assigning COM 8 but the IDE is not recognising it.I tried messing with the port properties but that ain't working also.
Any idea what else to try??????
