Can't type # in Ubuntu's version of Arduino

Hi,

I'm using spanish layout for my keyboard, and I'm running ubuntu version of the Arduino environment.

I'm having trouble writing the "#" symbol for #include: In my kb layout it's supposed to be AltGr-3. Although in windows it works, in Ubuntu it does not type the symbol.

Has anyone met the same problem and knows the solution?

Well just realised it was because of having jre version 6.

Removing version 6 and installing version 5 of jre, everything works fine.

Does anybody know any other workaround (i.e., using jre-6)?
