Can't upload any code while using Rx and Tx connected

So, for a few days now I'm not able to program my ESP8266, It was working fine and I don't know what heppened. the error I'm getting:

avrdude done. Thank you.

a few other things: I'm connecting Tx to Tx and Rx to Rx, COM port is verified. I've tried different ESP modules as well as different PC's, both windows 10 64bit.

Last thing, if i upload blink without tx and rx connected it uploads no problem, if i then connect the tx rx I am able to talk to the ESP module threw AT commands and Serial monitor without any issues.

I've searched around alot and wasn't able to find anything to solve, or even find out what the issue is.

Thank you in advance,

It is normal and expected that you need to disconnect external devices from pins 0 and 1 prior to uploading code.

I'm not able to program my ESP8266,

Arduino: 1.8.5 (Windows 10), Board: "Arduino/Genuino Uno"

Are you trying to compile for an ESP8266 or an UNO?
