Can't upload Sketch Uno/Mega with Arduino wireless SD Shield and RN-XV

Hi,
I have an RN-XV put on an arduino shield wireless sd and sitting on an Arduino UNO RV2 or MEGA RV3. The PWR LED on the Arduino shield wireless flashes and D1 and D3 flash alternately on the RN-XV. But if the RN-XV is stuck I can not upload sketch. This effect occurs at Mega and UNO. I get the following error message.
avrdude: stk500_getsync (): not in sync: resp = 0x73. Not even the blink example can be uploaded. I get the same error message.

Does anyone have an idea. Thanks

Does anyone have an idea.

With the RN-XV in place, it is connected to the serial pins that the IDE is using to talk to the ATMega328 or ATMega2560 chip on the Arduino. The RN-XV is not sending the appropriate replies.

Which shield are you using? Some have a switch that lets you disconnect the device on the shield from the serial pins, while uploading.
