Capacitive moisture sensor using arduino uno problems

Hi I'm trying to do an automatic watering system for plants everything is working , but the main problem is the sensor . I noticed that it doesn't show the same value when put alone and when put with the relay ,the lcd ,and the gsm. I tried everything it only shows value from 7 to 10 and most of time it shows 10 (in water or air) .In the other hand when put alone in the arduino uno it shows values from 4068 to 3867 of course it depends on the place
.To resume as the sensor is not working as it should be. I'm afraid it will mess up all the project .
I would appreciate some helps and thank you in advance .

Hi,
Can you post a copy of your circuit?
A link to specs/data of your sensor?
Your code?
What model Arduino are you using?

Thanks.. Tom.. :+1: :coffee: :australia:

You might look for a different sensor, the inexpensive ones labeled for Arduino for the most part corrode, drift, then fail.

OP mentioned a capacitive sensor in the title.

Yes, need to know which Arduino and which sensor, and wiring diagram/code.
Read the "how to post" sticky first.
Note that the common Moisture sensor V1.2 has a design fault that must be corrected first.
Leo..
