Capacitive Sensor with conductive ink or Tin Foil — Slow readings

HI there,
I am building a capacitive sensor using conductive Ink and I am also trying to see what happens when I use tin foil.
At now I am using the CapSense Library Arduino Playground - HomePage and their sketch.

I am using to wires one from pin 2 (the sensor) and one from pin 4 with a 10M resistor in between.
The reading in the serial monitor is sooooo slow and I can't seem to be able to do something about it.

Does anyone have a suggestion?

Many thanks in advance for your help?

Hi friends. Haveing the same problem with the capsense lib - very slow readings.
Don't think it's a problem with the capteur or the resistance.

Looking for help.

best wishes

Hi there,
I have managed to make it work in the end by using at least 4-5 resistors of 10Mohm each.

Let me know if this makes any difference to your project

If you use a high value resistor, the response time will be slower. Try different resistor values, and post your code and circuit.
