I would like to power a servo motor and my arduino uno with a solar panel. Since i only need the servo to run from time to time I would like to use a very small solar panel.
I found some instructions that come very close to what I was thinking to do. But since I am very new to electronic I have problems adapting this to my project. Maybe someone has already done this and could help me?
Hi, I can see what you want to do, you will need a rechargeable battery in with the solar cell and arduino and servo, the output of the panel will not be constant enough for you to give a regulated supply that these devices need.
The reference you have included is only running a motor and that will only be when there is enough sun, the motor speed depending on the amount of energy from the panel.
Even using a super cap to store energy it won't be enough for what you want to do.
