Hello
I'm going to build the ignition coil fencer and I have a question about capacitor identification. The diagram says 4u7 for a capacitor. Is this 4.7 micro farads or 47 micro farads?
Thank you.

4.7 uf (microfarads)
Yes, it is 4.7μF.
The units identifier is used in place of the decimal point.
It is much easier to see the μ symbol than a very small or poorly printed decimal point.
Similarly with resistors 5k6 is used to represent 5.6kΩ,
and 8R2 represents 8.2Ω.
This practice is not limited to the UK.

This practice is not limited to the UK.
In fact, it has virtually no connection to the UK. More a European thing, first noted in "Elektor" and similar.

But it is used in the UK and that's what I asked.
Thanks for the info. Makes sense too.
