Hi, I'm Álvaro and I'd like that you could help me
I have a car speaker that works with 12V and 400Hz, so I connected an external power supply from 12V to the speaker terminal, and the other terminal connected to the Collector of a BD241A. The Base is connected to the pin 9 of the arduino that provides the 400Hz PWM signal, and the Emitter is connected to ground (common to the external power and the arduino)
My problem is that it sounds very low with the external PS, made by me, the max output current I think is 250mA.
So instead of the EPS I connected an Airsoft battery of 8.4V and 1100mAH (it can provide up to 2/3A as it's written), and the transistor burned.
What can I do for making it sounding louder? Which transistor can I use that doesn't burn?
Greetings
