Castle Link Live on Arduino

Hi,

I am new to Arduino programming, but have a project that I would like some help putting together. This is a project based on RC aircraft motors and Castle Creations ESCs to do some motor/prop testing. The goal is to pass telemetry data from the Castle ESC through a Castle Serial Link board and to an PC through an Arduino. The Arudino will also receive an analog input from another external sensor and pass it to the PC. All the data post-processing will be done at the PC.

Here is the link to the Castle Link datasheet, which explains its communications protocols.

I would like to use the SPI protocol. I have been doing some reading on SPI and trying to pick through various example programs, but can't get anything to work. If the community could point me in the right direction on how to talk to this device, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
