CC-1101 433mhz transceiver board and UNO R3 CH340G processor board

I am looking at programming a CC-1101 433MHz wireless board which will be interfaced to my UNO via SPI interface. I have a library from the TI site but am wondering if someone knows a resource that I have missed on the web that might make my efforts less stressful.

My end goal is to be able to communicate via the wireless transceiver board to another UNO 150ft away. I will be remotely switching a set of 4 vertical antennas to steer the array of antennas around the globe. ...

Any thoughts, references etc for the cc1101 board might be just what I need to bootstrap myself up.

Thanks

Jim

My end goal is to be able to communicate via the wireless transceiver board to another UNO 150ft away.

Just about any radio module is up to that task, even the $1 cheapos on eBay.

Why go to all the trouble to use a radio so rarely interfaced to Arduino? I’ve been using VirtualWire with the cheapos in sensor networks for years, at 300 meters line of sight range, with no trouble at all.

That said, googling “cc-1101 arduino” turns up at least two other libraries, and a couple of tutorials.
