CH340 Uno Board from my Arduino?

  • Hey Ya'll

Bought an Arduino Uno CH340 clone.
Downloaded ArduinoDroid from the PlayStore
Plugged the board into the phone - Powered the Board externally
*but

I get a message
" ArduinoDroid
Allow the App ArduinoDroid to
access the USB device?
[ ] Use by default for this USB

  • device?*"

*then

A screen comes up titled:
"Monitor
CH34x driver 9600

I downloaded the linux driver (how that helps on my android I'm not sure). Don't know how to compile on Android.
!Anyway, what do i do now?

Thanks allot guys I really appreciate any help.
Look, I'm new to Arduino, but my Linux and RPi forums are always helpful so let's start off on the right foot.
Is there an intro section here?

Have you contacted the board seller (the ones you gave money to) for support?

As it is a third party program you are using you might be better suited going to thier web site for help.

Is there any reason you must do it on Android ?
They just released CREATE for CHROME OS here but nothing just yet for android.

  • Hey Ya'll

thanks for a quick response.
Well, the site's in Chinese and I don't know how to translate the page in Firefox.
Now, I didn't know about Create for Chrome. I'm gonna go check that out.

I don't "need" to code on Android. It's just that ArduinoDroid is an Arduino.cc official IDE with the CH340 board as a standard option in the board list so I figured it would be easier than trying to get it working on my Linux machine (which has been a nightmare).

I tried searching this forum but it just pulls up a google search. The CH340 board has been around for a while, I'm surprised more peeps didn't respond.

It's $5 for the board. I take a loss no big deal.

But ya'll we're real nice though.
Hey thanks huh?

Hmmm, can't find it at https://www.arduino.cc/en/Main/Software

Where on earth did you get the incorrect notion that "ArdunioDroid" is an official Arduino.cc IDE? It's the exact opposite of "official."
