Chain Arduino Mega

Hey,

i'm totally new to arduino and should receive my first board tomorrow.

I created a panel design of the controller i want to build but in the end it looks like i will need a lot of analog ins for knobs and faders ... more than a mega could handle.

I'm now curious if it is possible to chain multiple arduino controllers or if there is any other way to extent the amount if I/Os.

Might this Mux Shield do the job?
(And being open source, you can see the diagrams and be inspired if you need something different)
