I think i'm probably just struggling... i can't find where to change my forum e-mail address... under my profile it shows my old e-mail address... when i go to forum and profile information it has where i can add or change IM client addresses but not e-mail. what am i doing wrong?
you should be able of doing this at http://id.arduino.cc , your email address is taken from there. If you had any problems with this, PM me your desired email address and I will help you out with this.

Yes, i am able to there. it looks like that page is 95% the same as the profile edit page, but profile page didn't give me the option to change email. However that page allowed me and it is changed. Thanks for your help.
There is two profile pages (actually there are more). One is for the forum, the other one is your user profile in the Arduino Identification server. The features at the ID server cannot be changed anywhere but on the ID server, that is secure, etc. We will try integrating everything into a single location in the future.
