I'd like to make a charger. I have 5 24 volt batteries that I need to recharge from time to time, how can I go about this?

Different battery chemistries require different techniques.
You haven't told us what type of batteries they are.
The solution may be as simple as a power supply with an output greater than 24V and a resistor to limit the charging current
