Cheap 3G/4G Arduino module?

Hi! I was wondering if there was a cheap (about $15) Arduino module which was capable of a 3G or 4G connection. I was looking at possible alternatives for the SIM800x modules because 2G networks are being phased out everywhere in the world, and I could not find any.

I would expect SIM800 pricing reflects the fact they are nearing their End Of Life.

The actual 3G chips cost around $15-20, then add the design and manufacturing effort, plus a profit... that usually grows out to $50 odd as a sell price
