Cheap garden water sensor found -> How to use it at best??

Hello Guys,

I found a very cheap and usefull garden water sensor for my plants.
The sensor acts very good and exatly.

Last year, that man sold whole sensor kits. Now only PCBs are availaible :frowning:
One PCB cost around 3 €.

It gives out a 120khz squarewave, if the plants are dry and
10khz if they are wet.

But how can I use it on Arduino, or Raspy?

It seems, that the frequency of those sensors are to high for there GPIO’s.

Any Idea?

The frequency is likely too high for polling but should work with the frequency counter library (see Frequency Counter Library - Science and Measurement - Arduino Forum) or maybe even using one of the hardware interupts to count pulses.
