Problems with china make Ethernet shield.

Can I use 4 wire LAN cable connect between router and shield ?.
I did not get any response from my shield while I am using this 4 wire cable

An ethernet cable usually has 8 wires. Only two of them are actually used. What is important to know is which two.

Try with a real ethernet cable.
