Chinese branded ESP32 development boards on Amazon - avoid?

I noticed there are a number of Chinese branded ESP32 development boards on Amazon Canada. Would they work for a beginner or should I avoid them due to unknown quality? Thanks

I have been lucky, I have used them without any problems. I would never use them for the end product but they are great for learning and if they have a problem look what you can learn finding and repairing the problem. Realize there is very little support for them.

I've been only buying ESP32's from the HiLetGo vendor. They work.

I've tested about 80% of the ESP32 API using the Arduino IDE on HiLetGo ESP32 developer boards.

Yes the original ESP32 is from a Chinese company, but I'm worried about cheap, unreliable Chinese clones. For example, one brand selling the ESP32 on Amazon (CA) is KeeYees.

I haven't heard of HiLetGo but I'll take a look, thanks.

Take a look as the ezsbc esp32 development board.

Reasonably priced and well supported.
