I am interested in building the circuit in this older post from jremington showing filtered power for automotive electric.

Can you give guidance about buying the inductor? What is an example of a part number that will suffice, or link to one I can buy that would be suitable? I will be using a perfboard, so would prefer through-hole components. I plan to draw just a couple amps of power from this, enough to run an Uno or similar MCU board and power a couple of relays.
